The Thames, from above

London's only cable car.

Glide 90 metres above the river between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks. Ten minutes of skyline — the O2, Canary Wharf, the City — and a slice of London most visitors never see.

A different London

Not a bridge. Not the Tube. Something else entirely.

Opened in 2012 as the Emirates Air Line and rebranded in 2022 as the IFS Cloud Cable Car, it is the United Kingdom's first and only urban cable car. Thirty-six gondolas swing silently between two enormous towers, lifting you over the Royal Victoria Dock and across the river to North Greenwich.

On a clear day you can see the Olympic Park, the Shard, the dome of St Paul's, and the slow choreography of ships moving toward the Thames Barrier.
